Obama Nationalizes the Internet

December 21, 2010

President Obama and his cadre of socialist leaning appointees have taken the first step to NATIONALIZE the Internet. The FCC has approved rules that would give the federal government authority to regulate Internet traffic and prevent broadband providers from selectively blocking web traffic.

The FCC’s 3-2 decision is a mixed bag for consumers. The new rules—which haven’t been released in full—state that land-line broadband providers can’t block legal content from websites, or “unreasonably discriminate” against companies like Skype or Netflix that want to use broadband networks to provide video or voice services. They also require that broadband providers give consumers more information about their Internet service, like actual download speeds or usage limits.

Since when does the Constitution of the United States of America allow an agency of the Executive Branch of the government write legislation? The FCC is over-stepping its boundaries by usurping the power granted to Congress. This new “regulation” needs to be halted. According to the President in a speech the whole purpose of this new regulation is to move toward stopping Conservative talk show hosts who stream their shows for their listeners; most specifically Rush Limbaugh.

If the likes of Limbaugh, Hannity, Fred Thompson, Glenn Beck, Laura Ingraham, etc. offend you; then switch stations and/or start your own talk show. I for one would be a willing listener to see how much of fool some of these liberals can make of themselves. If they really – I mean really – and honestly listen to themselves they would be embarrassed!
